Brookholme Croft employs a qualified Occupational Therapist to organise activities and events to entertain and stimulate the residents.
The home has a weekly programme of activities including games and crafts, taking place in both the morning and afternoon. This is designed to encourage mental alertness, self-esteem and social interaction. In addition to pampering manicures, our private physiotherapist holds a weekly exercise class which is thoroughly enjoyed by the residents.
A therapy dog has been visiting the home for a number of years due to the benefits of pet therapy. Many of the residents looks forward to the animal experience.
Entertainers regularly attend the home performing music in addition to clothing parties taking place. Trips out are organised and in-house event from summer beach parties to Christmas pantomimes. In addition, local churches visit the home to mark religious celebrations.
